Grady Kinghorn
CEO
Grady Kinghorn founded our company in 1979 and led us from our initial days as a subcontractor to our present as a full-service commercial general contractor. Under his leadership, Kinghorn Construction has become a reputable design/build firm that helps clients through every stage of the construction process. Grady enjoys getting to know each client, learning their needs, and providing a finished product that meets their requirements and stays within budget. He is proud of the lasting relationships he has built with clients and other construction professionals, relationships that have resulted in much repeat and referral business.
Grady earned degrees from the University of Minnesota in Business, Economics, and Accounting. He is a U.S. Navy veteran from the Vietnam era and enjoyed his time spent on both an aircraft carrier and Midway Island.
In addition to his duties at Kinghorn Construction, Grady also serves on the Board of Directors for the I-94 West Chamber of Commerce and on his church leadership team. He donates his time and resources to many different community organizations and causes. In his spare time, he collects antique tractors, vintage cars, and farm antiques. In fact, many of the decorative items at the Kinghorn office came from the Kinghorn family farm, which was established in 1860. He and his wife, Sandy, enjoy skiing in Colorado and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

John Kinghorn
LEED AP President
John Kinghorn has worked full-time at Kinghorn Construction since 2003. He helps clients navigate the entire construction process, from preconstruction meetings to project management and on-site supervision. He enjoys working with dedicated teammates and awesome clients on a wide variety of projects. For John, one of the most rewarding aspects of his job is helping clients in the earliest stages of the process and turning their ideas into reality.
John began his construction career in 1995 as a laborer for a home-building company, then worked for a residential finish carpentry company. He graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a degree in Construction Management and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and participating in both water and snow sports. He spends time on the Mississippi River during the summer, and he and his family travel to Colorado each winter to ski.

Chuck Edwards
General Manager
Chuck Edwards has more than 30 years of construction experience, beginning his career as a carpenter’s apprentice and eventually establishing his own commercial interiors business. That led him to working with Kinghorn Construction as a subcontractor for nearly 20 years, collaborating on numerous projects and sharing the same passion, commitment, and standards of quality.
Chuck officially joined our team in 2018, and he primarily works with new clients throughout all phases of their projects, including estimating, budgeting, and project management. He enjoys getting to know clients and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to help them grow their organizations.
In his spare time, Chuck enjoys spending time with his wife and family at their cabin in Wisconsin. He is an avid outdoorsman and loves to go fishing, kayaking, and hiking. One of his favorite achievements is completing a weeklong solo hike across Isle Royale.
