Our Process

At Kinghorn Construction, we have always believed that understanding the client’s design intentions and goals, along with proper planning, clear communication, and accountability, are the keys to a successful project. This strong commitment to our process enables us to consistently deliver projects on time and within budget.

Exploratory Meetings

We’ll begin by getting to know you and discussing your vision, expectations, budget, and timeline. Based on the information gathered from these meetings, we’ll put together a team of design and planning professionals best suited to meeting the needs of your project.

Design Charrette

Next, you’ll meet with your Kinghorn team of architects and professionals to discuss exact functionality and design requirements, your priorities, and any other necessary details. The purpose of these meetings is for the design team to fully understand your project and to create a unified vision for the end result.

Following the design charrette, we will prepare preliminary estimates and timelines and procure any necessary permits.

Construction

During this phase, your Kinghorn Construction superintendent will organize and supervise all on-site activity, maintaining quality, safety, and timeliness. Our priority throughout the construction process is communication, and your dedicated project manager will keep you updated with weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly meetings, depending on the type and scope of your project. If you have any changes to the design during this phase, we will work quickly to address and implement them.

Close-out

Once we have concluded construction and completed our final Project Close-Out Checklist, we’ll show you around. Our team will walk you through all mechanical and electrical systems and answer any questions you may have. You’re free to enjoy your new facility!

Our commitment to your success doesn’t end there, however. Following project completion, we’ll provide post-construction support and management to ensure your long-term satisfaction.
